DevelopMetrics was proud to be represented at Climate Policy Radar's fifth birthday celebration, a thoughtful gathering that brought together leaders and practitioners from climate, trade, development finance, health, technology, and social impact.
The evening created space not only to celebrate Climate Policy Radar's journey so far, but also to reflect on how much work remains to build stronger connections across sectors. A clear theme throughout the event was the urgency of bridging silos between ideas, communities, and systems so that evidence can travel further and decision-making can become more joined-up.
That message resonates strongly with our work at DevelopMetrics. Across climate and development, some of the biggest challenges are not caused by a lack of information alone, but by the difficulty of connecting knowledge, people, and institutions in ways that lead to action. Conversations during the evening reinforced the importance of building tools and partnerships that help make those connections possible.
Sashi from DevelopMetrics joined the panel discussion, contributing to conversations on the role of evidence, technology, and cross-sector collaboration in strengthening social impact. It was especially encouraging to hear perspectives from communities that are not always centered in climate week conversations, including voices from development finance, trade, and health alongside climate and nature leaders.
The discussion also highlighted an important point about artificial intelligence: AI can play a meaningful role in high-stakes decision-making only when it is built well, guided by people, and designed and governed responsibly. That principle is central to how we approach our work, and it is one of the reasons we were so glad to be part of this conversation.
We are proud to be part of a growing community working to ensure that AI and data-driven tools are used responsibly to support better outcomes for people and the planet, and we are grateful to Climate Policy Radar for convening such an energizing and timely discussion.
