Strategic Portfolio Intelligence for Global Health

Portfolio evidence and performance signals for strategic health-program decisions.

Project overview

What this project was built to help with

Jhpiego's health and gender evaluations held portfolio intelligence that was hard to see across individual projects. The interactive knowledge graph connects findings to strategic priorities, revealing hidden strengths, gaps, blind spots, and opportunities that can inform program design, proposal prioritization, partnerships, and learning.

Project story

Making health and gender portfolio learning visible

Jhpiego's evaluations contained insight into health and gender programming, but the learning was distributed across projects. Leadership and technical teams needed a way to see how past work aligned with strategic priorities and where the organization had distinctive strengths or gaps.

The interactive knowledge graph connects findings across evaluations and visualizes their relationship to priorities. That made hidden patterns, blind spots, and opportunities easier to see. The work supports stronger program design, portfolio learning, proposal prioritization, and partnership decisions by giving teams a clearer view of where Jhpiego adds the most value.

Decision problem

Jhpiego needed to connect health and gender evaluation insights across a portfolio and understand how past work aligned with strategic priorities. The evidence existed across projects, but teams needed a clearer way to see patterns, hidden strengths, gaps, blind spots, and partnership opportunities.

What the work involved

1

Mapped insights from health and gender evaluations into an interactive knowledge graph that connected findings across projects.

2

Visualized how past work aligned with strategic priorities so teams could identify where the organization added the most value.

3

Supported proposal prioritization, partnership decisions, portfolio learning, and program design by making patterns and gaps visible in real time.

Outcome

Stronger portfolio intelligence for global health planning and learning.
